Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE)
SCIE includes high-quality journals in science, engineering, and technology. These journals follow strict peer-review and ethical publishing standards and are eligible for an Impact Factor in Journal Citation Reports. SCIE is commonly referred to as SCI journals in academic usage.
Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI)
SSCI covers journals in social science disciplines such as management, economics, education, psychology, and sociology. Journals indexed here are internationally recognized and also receive Impact Factors, making SSCI highly valued in academic evaluation.
Arts & Humanities Citation Index (AHCI)
AHCI indexes journals in arts, literature, philosophy, history, and related humanities fields. While these journals do not receive Impact Factors, they are considered prestigious and are widely used for scholarly evaluation in humanities research.
Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI)
ESCI includes emerging and developing journals that meet Web of Science quality standards but do not yet have an Impact Factor. Many journals in ESCI are evaluated over time and may later be promoted to SCIE or SSCI based on citation performance and editorial quality.
